Botswana Bound
Posted by Paul Bereas on January 20th, 2010
Dumela,
My name is Paul Bereas and I am a recent graduate of Carleton University. I just finished my degree in political science and human rights. While I am interested in the issues surrounding development and as I intend to pursue an MA in this field, I am thrilled to be heading to Botswana for a 4 month placement in Gaborone. I will be working with the Baylor Clinic an organization that focuses on the needs of HIV positive youth.
I feel that this experience is a great bridge between finishing my undergrad and starting my masters. I am excited to be going back to Africa for a second time. The first time I spent 9 months on exchange at the University of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania, and have been wanting to go back ever since. I am excited to get some hands on work experience in the field and build my skills. Also, a little traveling on the weekends wont hurt.
cheers
