My name is Nicole Jarvis and I have, in just the past few weeks, completed a Master’s degree in Capacity Development & Extension and International Development. I have a background in secondary school teaching and have spent a significant amount of time working and living in various cultures in both Northern Canada and sub-Saharan Africa. Most recently I spend 4 months working as a program officer and researcher with a local HIV/AIDS NGO in Western Kenya. The PSI/WUSC Botwana program is an exciting way to gain further experience working with HIV/AIDS organizations in an urban setting. I look forward to the upcoming opportunities to learn from others and to share my own experiences in the upcoming days and weeks.
