Alive in Africa II

Now that I have settled into Botswana life, I thought that now would be a good time  to write about my work experience here in Botswana. I have been at my placement for three weeks. I spent the first week in WUSC orientation and the last three weeks at the hospital in Molepolole. Molepolole is the largest village in Botswana and it is situated about an hour north of the capital (Gaborone).  I have moved into a house that is on the hospital grounds, since the commute daily from Gaborone can be tiresome. The person I live with often commutes to Gaborone to see her husband and son, so some weeknights and weekends, I can return to the city and stay with the other volunteers.Â
