Teaching at Refugee Camp-Malawi
Posted by Julie L on April 15th, 2009
My name is Julie Lafleche and I will be teaching at the camp school in Dzaleka Refugee Camp in Malawi. I am currently completing an MA in Human Security and Peacebuilding at Royal Roads University and have a Bachelor of Education from the University of Ottawa. I specialized in teaching French as a Second Language (FSL) but have taught both English as a Second Language (ESL) and FSL. Given my background in education, I am particularly interested in education initiatives within the field of humanitarian relief and assistance and for this reason have chosen to do an internship with WUSC-SWB. I am really looking forward to adapting to life in Malawi as well as to meeting new people and teaching in a different setting.

Hi Julie,
I hope that your time in Malawi is going well for you. If you ever decide to do any more teaching of French as a Second Language this site will help you.
