Final blog…

I cannot believe it has already been almost five months since the end of my placement with JRS in Malawi!  It seems like yesterday that I was saying goodbye to my students and colleagues, and yet the build-up to my placement last year seems like eons ago.  This to say that my placement, more specifically the people I met, the things I saw and heard in my time at Dzaleka Refugee Camp as well as in Malawi in general, have had a huge impact on me and will be ingrained in my memory for the rest of my life.  I am so grateful for the experience I had and hope to be able to continue the work I started in Malawi in some way here in Canada.  Thank you WUSC, SWB and JRS-Malawi for a life-changing internship. As they say in Chichewa, tiwonana!
