My name is Max Gerrie. I am a second year electrical engineering student at the University of Victoria. I grew up in a town called Sidney, right outside of Victoria. I have also played ice hockey all of my life. The main reason I have chosen to do a placement in Ghana is to experience what it is like to work, travel, and live in a country thats culture is very different from Canada. My position is a computer instructor at a school in a town called Awaso. I chose this position because it was the one that was most related to my degree. The specific goals of my position have not yet been given to me, however I hope to help out with whatever I can as much as I can while I am in Ghana.
