Hello!

Hello!
My name is Amanda Le and I am currently completing a Bachelor of Commerce at McGill University. Supporting education efforts has always been one of my passions. In 2006, I had the opportunity to help raise funds and build a school in a Maasai village in Kenya, and ever since I have wanted to gain further volunteer experience abroad. The alignment of my values with those of WUSC, along with a strong desire to be a part of the change it is creating, are what have led my interest in the Students Without Borders program.
I will be the Dean’s Assistant at Vietnam National University in Hanoi, Vietnam during my Winter 2012 placement. I look forward to sharing my skills and capabilities with the Faculty of Tourism, and hope to build on the work of previous placements in solidifying a sustainable Alumni association and English club for the benefit of VNU students. On a personal note, I am half-Vietnamese and this is an opportunity for me to connect with my roots and culture. I am thrilled to be joining the Students Without Borders community, and cannot wait for this new journey to unfold.
